Dembel Bonta Gebeyehu obtained his master’s degree in Geography (GIS, Remote Sensing and Digital Cartography) at Addis Ababa University in 2017. He is currently working as a PhD researcher on Remote Sensing for Inland Lake Water Quality. Specifically, on high resolution remote sensing for water quality monitoring in the great lake region of Ethiopia. His project is funded by VLIR-OUS Scholarship (Sandwich program). He is jointly supervised by Professors Wouter Maes (Ghent University), Luc De Meester (Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB) and KU Leuven University), and Fassil Eshetu (Arba Minch University).
